Can’t believe it’s been over 6 months since I last wrote to you! It’s been a busy time. I finished composing for the new album and was back at Imaginary Road Studios with Will Ackerman and Tom Eaton for my piano tracks in February. Then back in April for Premik Russell-Tubbs session (Soprano Sax and Flute) and again in May for Eugene Friesen’s (Cello). Nancy Rumbel (English Horn)and Charlie Bisharat (Violin) did their recording remotely in Washington and LA respectively. And in June, Richard Sebring, Principal French Horn player with the Boston Symphony recorded with us at Tom’s studio in New Hampshire. It was so great to see him again, it had been 10 years since he appeared on one of my albums. Next month I return to Tom’s for some synthesizer work and then we head into mixing/mastering. I do indeed have a release date now, May 23, 2025 and the name of the album is “Still”. So thrilled with it and plans for marketing and radio are already starting to take shape.
On another “note”, I have been enjoying our Vacation home tremendously and have been able to spend much more time here than last year, as things on the health front have stabilized. I am happy to share that in my last blood test, my leukemia was UNDETECTED!!! That’s even better than a deep molecular remission because they can’t find any molecules whatsoever. I’m praying that it stays that way, but I’m just enjoying this right now as it’s been a long journey to get here!
My agent is working on tour dates for 2025-26 as well so hopefully we will have those dates posted on the website in early 2025. I’ll close with best wishes for the rest of your Summers and Falls. Fall has always been my favorite time of year though I love all the seasons, but there’s just something about the cool air, long shadows and the sun, which while warm, is much less intense, and everything just feels intoxicating!
