Love Walks Through Rain is #1 pick in the ‘Top 20 Ambient/New Age’ category in Textura’s 2023 roundup!
Well it’s that time of year again and the holidays are upon us! I so love this time of year, all the decorating, so cozy with hearths ablaze, doggies snoozing next to them, Christmas trees aglow with tiny lights, get togethers with family and friends…
It has been a great year! I’ve been on a new drug for a little over a year now for my Leukemia and things are better than they have been in the 6+ years I’ve been fighting it. Don’t appear to have the dreaded side effects of the drug’s predecessors and I am in a deep molecular remission, so grateful! We welcomed a new dog into our fold in March. Another Siberian Husky, Keiko (rescue) has joined the pack and now Luna, Marlowe and Keiko frolic about together. Keiko was shell-shocked when we first picked her up but has come out of her shell, which is a beautiful thing to watch and now is a well-adjusted, happy and quirky gal! We enjoyed a great season at our Vacation home where she quickly learned a whole new way of life. And returned to our home base in Salem, MA in early November, just in time to prep for the holiday festivities.
My new album “Love Walks Through Rain” enjoyed a great run. In its first 3 months, it hit #1 and #2 on Amazon’s Hot New Releases in Relaxation and New Age. The really cool thing was that it hung around the Top 5 for at least 12 weeks, so lots of staying power.
The PR/Broadcast campaign was very successful, reviews have been wonderful – please feel free to peruse those on my website. “Love Walks Through Rain” was entered in the Best Contemporary Instrumental Album category by the Academy for the 66th Grammys. While I received a lot of support, I unfortunately did not get a Grammy nod. Next time : )
On another note, I’ve been composing over the Summer and Fall, and am well on my way to a new album! I expect I’ll be recording at Imaginary Road late Spring so stay tuned!
Sheet Music: New Scores: “Thin Ice” (Sapphire Days), “Lullaby for Blackie Boo” (Before Today, Beyond Tomorrow) and “Love Walks Through Rain” will be on my website in early 2024. Sheet music is listed by score and the album on which it appears. As always, cast your votes for the scores you wish to be available in sheet music and I will be sure to make it happen.
For those of you still listening to CD players, ( I AM most assuredly) my albums always make a lovely gift, but consider my holiday album “Christmas Presence” as well.
